The Children’s Hospital Trust would sincerely like to thank you for the incredibly generous support in flighting our paediatric ICU public appeal radio adverts on Mix FM, to the value of R400 367. The flighting of these radio adverts makes an incredible difference in raising awareness and funds for the upgrade and expansion of the paediatric ICU at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital as the Trust works to raise the final R10 million for the R100 million-plus project. As the Children’s Hospital Trust, we confirm that the Hospital manages on average of 257 000 patient visits each year comprising of:  177 000 outpatient visits,  21 000 inpatient admissions and  59 000 patient visits to Allied Health professionals which includes Clinical Psychology, Diabetic Education, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, Audiology, Stomaltherapy and Tracheostomy Care. The South African Institute for Advancement, confirm that the beneficiaries of the Children’s Hospital Trust meets the definition of Black and are ‘non-white’ South African citizens who are African, Coloured, Indian and Chinese – and account for between 96% and 98% of the total beneficiary pool. The Children’s Hospital Trust is exceptionally grateful for this generous opportunity.

Thank you so very much for choosing to reach out to the Nokuphila kids. Many, many thanks for your exciting visit. You caused quite a stir. The boys, in particular were in awe of your magnificent machines. I want to express my sincere gratitude for the generous gift of soft, warm blankets, which you donated to our school children. They were very excited about these lovely blankets and will put them to good use. What a thoughtful and serving team you are. Many of the children came to school this morning, wrapped up and snug against the early morning chill. It would have warmed your hearts to see how much they appreciate your gift. We had many appreciative letters from the parents, too. It is difficult for them to provide adequately for their children’s needs, so they are grateful for your many generous acts of kindness. Nokuphila is a school for vulnerable children of the Thembisa/ Ivory Park area. Our vision is to provide quality Christian education and thereby give hope to children who would otherwise have none. The school is funded by the generosity of donors who are keen to uplift the community. Our families are extremely poor and so we provide the children with transport to and from school. We also provide breakfast, lunch and two snacks each day, to fill tummies that might otherwise be empty. The children thrive on the love and care they receive at school. When you supplied the Nokuphila children with blankets last year, you sent more than we needed at the time. I have kept these extras in the cupboard in my office until recently, when they suddenly became extremely useful. We have a group of about 5 mums who come to assist by listening to the Grade 2 children reading every Wednesday. As space is limited, they sit, in pairs, outside. I was concerned that they might stop coming when the winter freeze began. However, we remembered your surplus blankets from last year and it struck us how excellent it is that we are able to provide each of them with a blanket to wrap their learner in while they are reading. Now the children can’t wait to have their turn to cuddle up and read to the mums. They are sad when their turn is over and they have to hand back their blanket and return to class. Your generosity saved the day! A very big thank you from myself and from all the children of Nokuphila School. We truly appreciate your kindness and generosity. Many, many thanks,

Thank you so very much for choosing to celebrate Easter with us. I want to express my sincere gratitude for the generous gift of holiday treats, which you donated to our school children. They were very excited about these huge bags of goodies and will put them to ‘good use’. What a thoughtful and serving team you are. Your generosity never ceases to amaze me. Hi There!  Husky Rescue's second Sleepathon is behind us and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed towards making the event the success that it was and a highlight on Husky Rescue's annual calendar. There are not many fund-raisers that bring you so close to the dogs and we believe that both man and beast benefit from this :) There was something quite special about being woken at 5:30 by the sound of 30-odd howling dogs. So to those that spent the evening with us - thank you for sharing in this unique experience. To those who sponsored money or raised money through various sponsors, thank you for your financial contributions and creative efforts. Aside from the time spent with the dogs, a place like the haven costs money to run and I'm sure those of you with dogs can appreciate how quickly vet & feeding bills can add up. So thank you, though we have left the haven in body, the money that has been raised will go towards the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of the dogs while we cannot be there. We managed to raise just over R60 000, which is incredible! To the sponsors who gave us items for catering, prizes, our goodie bags or for the dogs at the haven, you're the cherry on top of our cake. Thank you for adding something special to our event. Photos have been loaded onto our facebook page - please have a look: https://www.facebook.com/groups/huskyrescuesa/

Dear Donors, Mario and Thsidiso Ngoepe & family would like to write on their behalf to thank you for your generosity. The kids were given big packs with all kinds of snacks inside. They were very happy and it was big enough to share with their siblings and to still be kept for more days. May God bless you and replace for you.

Dear Fefe On behalf of Rotary International and close to 4500 Rotary members in Southern Africa, I thank you for arranging the various interviews this past week. Your station kindly assisted us to gain media exposure that was invaluable. The Mahindra SA solar lamp project; Rotary International’s 111th anniversary celebrations and the Economic Development Conference was exposed to millions of people throughout South Africa. Once again, many thanks for your support. Thousands of people benefitted from the various projects that we do throughout the country. Telling them all about it is wonderful and by being interviewed, it helps to spread the word. I look forward to working with you all again in the future.

Love Trust is indeed delighted to be able to thank you, and those of MIXFM 93.8 very specially, for introducing The H.O.D. JHB Chapter #9686 (Harley Davidson Bikers) to the Love Trust and Nokuphila School. We thank you for being so kind as to bring them out to Nokuphila on the 2nd June 2016 to meet the children and teachers and to see the school. They brought with them 300 lovely warm blankets which were handed out to the excited and thankful children. The blankets were most gratefully received by the school and the children have benefited enormously from the comforting warmth received during the cold nights of winter. We thank CSX Customer Services most sincerely for the funding they made available for the bikers to make this purchase. It was indeed amazing to see how CSX and MixFM and the Harley Bikers Chapter worked together to achieve the delivery of these blankets. We Salute you ALL for your thoughtfulness and kindness to ensure these children had a warm bed for the winter nights. Abigail and your Team are special and wonderful friends of the Love Trust and Nokuphila School. We are constantly overwhelmed at the many things you do for the children and the lovely eats and sweets, lunches and many other items (too many to count) that you give them. We thank you for facilitating the delivery of the blankets and for introducing the Bikers and CSX to the Love Trust. We do thank you for the amazing things you do and words just cannot express the gratefulness and special relationship we have with you all. We thank you most sincerely and from the bottom of our hearts. • The Love Trust offers the very best in Early Childhood Development and Primary School Education founded on Christian principles and values • Nutritious meals – critical for children living off small social grants that don’t allow for balanced meals at home • Safe and reliable transport to and from school • A variety of extra-curricular activities and after-care Love Trust aims to provide world class education to vulnerable children. A well maintained and conducive and happy environment is also a key part of our offering…/2 We, as a team, hope to serve in a way that will open up horizons and offer hope for an improved quality of life for the children and their families. We cannot achieve this without the wonderful and generous support of our donors. We depend on folk such as yourselves to help our School run and function as a Professional institution of Learning, as well as giving an opportunity to the children to progress and uplift their lives. Your involvement and giving will indeed make a significant difference in their lives and we remain deeply grateful to you. The newly completed Nokuphila Primary School is beautiful and healthy and will enhance the learning of the children and their sporting activities. Some Trees and grassing has already been planted and further planting will take place in the summer months. It is a wonderful and yet humbling experience to give of one’s time and resources to help those in need. Your involvement in the School is valued and appreciated. The Love Trust Team and all those at the school express their gratitude and trust that you will be blessed in your endeavor to help the needy children at Nokuphila School and indeed our Country.

We would like to extend our most sincere thanks to Mix FM for supporting The Sunflower Fund by donating the following; 22 Live Read spots, 2 Interviews and, 3 Hour Outside Broadcast, To the value of R 185 988, towards the promoting the Sunflower Fund Fun Walk, held at the Johannesburg Zoo, on Saturday, 24th September 2016. Due to your support the event was able to attract more than 300 and we were able to raise R25 000. Your support is greatly appreciated and we are only able to do the work we do because of sponsors like you. Your support will go a long way in assisting The Sunflower Fund to place donors onto the South African Bone Marrow Registry in the hopes that they will be a match to patients suffering from leukaemia and other life threatening blood related diseases. Every year thousands of South Africans are diagnosed with leukaemia and other life threatening blood disorders. Their only chance sometimes is a lifesaving stem cell transplant. 75% of patients diagnosed are under the age of 25. The Sunflower Fund aims to educate and recruit a viable source of bone marrow stem cell donors, in an effort to save the lives of those needing a transplant. Every cent collected goes a long way in making a difference in the lives of young patients suffering with Leukemia. The Sunflower Fund is a non-profit charity that aims to build the South African Bone Marrow Registry in the hopes of saving the lives of patients suffering from leukaemia and other life threatening blood related disorders. The funds raised are used for the education, recruitment and to pay for the tissue typing tests of donors to join the SABMR. Thank you!

To Mix FM 93.8, On behalf of our Executive Chairman and Co- Founder, Mr Marc Lubner and our Board of Directors, I would like to sincerely thank you for your recent generous donation of free Radio Airtime to the value of R521, 840.00. This funding will most certainly bring lots of smiles to the faces of many children in the hospitals. Your support to the Smile Foundation is greatly appreciated. Over the last 16 years, The Smile Foundation has been able to assist just under 2000 children and has grown from being active in one Academic Hospital in Gauteng, to reaching out today to seven Academic Hospitals located in five provinces throughout South Africa. Our vital work would not be possible without the generosity of donors such as yourself and we greatly appreciate your support. Our Chief Patron, the Late Nelson Mandela’s wish, was for us to assist as many children in South Africa as possible, and to make the public aware of this service that is offered to the communities within the national public health system. He also requested that we ensure his legacy of supporting children with any facial deformity are not ostracized by the family and/or the communities in which these children are living. We are proud to be continuing his legacy and to supporting many children who need reconstructive surgery, to enable them to have confidence, a positive self-ego, and be active participants in their communities.

Please keep this written acknowledgement of your donation for your tax records. Once again, thank you for your generous donation. Sincerely,
